One - Dr and Dr

For all the long years that Dr Arun Shah had lived, the last thing on his mind had been taking a solitary break. Life, in his opinion had never been 'designed' to take voluntary lapses, time always went by and trees never stopped their life processes, henceforth why should men think of slowing down or going on vacations? The question had troubled Dr Shah since he was a little kid. It had bothered his mind, clawed and gnawed at his brain, ultimately frustrating the doctor upon wasting his precious time on the mere thought of it. The truth was, as you might have anticipated by now, Dr. Shah's opinions about recreational breaks and solitude were not limited to vehement dislike. They shadowed a morbid fear that the doctor had, rooted deep in his mind.

"Dr. Shah", a voice tore through the surface of his thoughts. He found himself looking into the eyes of his excited young colleague. Ah, there he was again. Guggenheim University, Bioinformatics Department, a hell lot of work and of course, the pesky little assistant professor, Dr. Aron Kinsley who was supposed to help out with a lot of programming happening inside the department, but in Dr Arun Shah's humble opinion, the guy could use an assistant himself. "Dr. Shah! I have managed to secure our university a spot at the ECB's Fall Conference!". The Pesk did what?! Calling back his composure, Dr Shah replied,"Well, Aron, how did you pull that off?" The European Council of Bioinformatics hosted a premier conference every fall in Venice, Italy. The event was an invitation-only and getting an invite meant your department was held in the same regard as that of Harvard, Munich and Cambridge. Leaders in the field brought forth highly confidential improvements in the fronts of biotechnology and bioinformatics, why, the ECB was as good as a secret society itself! Bubbles of doubt began swelling up in Dr Shah's mind about the Pesk's credibility about the invite.

Meanwhile, Dr Aron was struggling against his own facial muscles. Who thought not laughing your head off was easy? His scheme seemed to have had a gainful start. Dr Shah, the brilliant Head of Department was no less of a workaholic, thought Aron. The professor had never taken a break, and seemed to despise the very mention of it. "A plan  to send Dr Shah off on an unprecedented vacation!". It made him want to clap his hands together and laugh the rest of the day away imagining the forthcoming future. Well, can you help yourself when you know you're going to enjoy whatever is coming anyway?
